Abigail Morton-Wilcox
Abigail is a second year PhD researcher in American Studies at the University of East Anglia. Her thesis critically examines the scholarly works of leading women environmentalist writers based in North America, putting Indigenous scholars in direct conversation with their EuroAmerican counterparts. She is interested in the ways in which women environmentalists challenge and oppose the systemic violences of settler colonialism, heteropatriarchy, and extractive capitalism in their writings.
